A Balancing Act

So yesterday wasn't such a good day....

Yesterday pretty much sucked the big one.

Today is already better than yesterday, but that's not hard to do, 'cause like I said, yesterday weren't too hot at all.

While I am sometimes completely devastated by how low I can go, I am infinitely amazed and grateful and humbled by my spirit's ability to pull me back up.

Yay Spirit!

  1. This is a very calming piece....very reassuring. Deep. I like it.

Oh, Kim, I know the up and down ride is part of life, but I dislike knowing someone I adore is in and feeling the down part. BUT (the bigger, more important but) I am joy~filled to know that your spirit has pulled you up. That's wonderful. Oh the joy/yuck/joy of LIFE!

  5. I hope you feel better too, Kim. I am always amazed when someone creates art when they are down. That is the hardest thing for me to do! I agree that this is a great journal page. Love to you...hope today is MUCH better, O

  6. Bonjour Kim! I have learned now that when I have a low day, I just give up, cross my arms, pout and just pass the driving wheel to time. You have to be a surfer in the ocean and ride the waves... Après la pluie, vient le beau temps, remember? And, on top of this, watch the moon ... A full one is coming on Saturday. My house gets wild a few days before and the guys become unbearable. Then, once the moon decreases, the vibes fade away ... Take care, LuLu

  7. No doubt about it, this is a tough time of the year. I find that going on a camera safari at the brightest part of the day often helps (as long as it's above finger-freezing temps!) It lets me leave my inner conversations behind and practice looking at things differently.

And don't discount the high pressure system that just rained havoc on New England. An ice storm can color anyone's mood.

Just glad things are better today. And what a great page you made about the bad day!

  8. This is such an amazingingly awesome page, Kim! Just completely powerful. I am glad today is going better. This January seems to be the pitts for lots of us. I am so impressed by your ability to pull yourself up! Wow. If only we lived closer you could give me a good shove.

  10. oooohhhh so sorry to hear of your sucky day!!! it happens... but yes i agree, no matter how low we can go (which also always surprises me) our hearts and spirits always manage to bring us up... up up and up!!! i think though this week has some funky energy to it, cause i've heard many say that they're having bad days... well it doesn't make it any easier now does it. i'm having one of those funky uneventful weeks... but i find energy like this is like a wave... down we go then up up up and magic!!! then down down down...

well kim, sending you positive "not sucky" energy!!!

    peace and love to you!!!
