Hold on tight, My Geek
Be my sweet surge protector
When blue screens threaten.
I love you, my IT man.
Thank you for our joy-filled life.
For more joyous haiku my heart, head here.
*Edit : (Hee, hee! It would seem that not everyone knows that I am married to my Sweet IT Man, my Computer Geek D'amour, David ! You guys made me laugh !)
I can imagine if I was having trouble with my computer that I would embrace the IT person that came out to fix it. Fortunately, I've never had a breakdown, (knocking wood), I use a Mac.
ReplyDeleteWhimsical, yet understandibly real when the blue screen strikes terror into your heart of hearts. :-)
Someone posted a "You may alkso like..." that brought me to your blog and an earlier post. It seemed to have many photos of yourself. I didn't comment there, but I liked it alot. You are pleasing to the eye.
Peace.
You could conceivably be the first person to have written a love Haiku to a PC repair geek!
ReplyDeleteLet's alert the media - or at least the Geek Squad...
LOVE THIS! and you!
Hah - I love it! True dedicated love there. And yep, I'd feel the same for whoever made the blue screen o' death go away. :)
ReplyDeleteGeeks need LOVE too and I can imagine YOU were very happy to have your blue screen RXed! Power to the GEEKS! hehe
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteToo funny that people didn't know you were talking about David.
I switched to a Mac last year and have no need anymore. I do have a tech savvy daughter though who is always finding great software to make my life easier.
Kate
Love this - how true. There have been times when I have wanted to kiss the IT guy, too. ;) Lucky for you to be married to yours!
ReplyDeleteDeb
Super funny! and so convenient that you have an IT geek and husband in one 'package'. Happy weekend to you and David.
ReplyDeleteI knew! I looked at your haiku a while ago and worked that one out!
ReplyDeleteNeeded time to respond, to say I have two IT men in my life, my two sons I'm so lucky, just wished they live a little closer. They do have the remote thingie though to fix IT!!!
Thanks for words and always lovely images

Well, I love this because I work in IT! You may not have known that, but yes, it is my day job and I am sitting at it right now. I am an IT admin. Love the haiku and the concept! You are such a cutie!

A handy love affair -- I grew up a couple of sons to solve my tech issues.
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile. Not only is it well written, but my hubby is my IT guy too.
ReplyDeleteOh, Kim, how that speaks to me...
ReplyDeleteHsving had the black warning of the blue screen of death on both my PC's this week, I too am intensely gratful to my own 'himself', who as usual, solved it all.
What would I do without him, and how wonderful to have everything working again.
Such a delight to see both your words and image relating to this.
As I was reading, I somehow knew you were talking about your husband, and I read 'it' like he is your 'it' guy too. I love it when words have double meanings. Great!!
ReplyDeleteI love you both!!!
ReplyDeleteMom
Your haiku - the place where technology and art meet. I like it.
