Today is Thankfulness / Share the Joy Thursday.
Love this combo.
Today I am thankful for the joy I receive in being inspired by the wonderful way others choose to live a creative life.
Man, there was a lot to choose from today ! Here are just a few…
Elizabeth at The Blue Lotus wrote about accepting that you are enough right in this very moment. I needed that reminder as I read about some successes that others were having and started that dreadful comparison thing !
My always inspirational friend, Judy Wise, wrote about the wonderful joys in her life that make her feel grateful to be alive, right in this moment. Plus she shared her unbelievably beautiful journal pages which always make my heart sing…
The talented and generous Michelle Ward, wrote about how she has scheduled in “art-just-for-me-because-it-feels-good-to-have-messy-hands “ at least weekly to keep her creative spirit alive in the midst of life’s busy-ness.
And then Miss Meri at Meri’s Musings posted about some wonderful things that bring her heart joy (including heart shaped rocks which you know I connected with !) and invited us once gain to share our own joys.
So I decided that I would take one hour in a busy day (craft fair final prep., housework as I have a house guest, Suzanne, arriving tomorrow, trip to the post office…) to let the inspiration from my amazing muses flow through me today ! I joyfully created this page in my slightly neglected journal :
Inspired by Elizabeth’s words about story and being enough…
Channeling Judy and using some of the techniques she taught me, and even a transfer of birdie image she gave me at Squam last year,
Relishing the India Ink on my fingers and my oh so messy art table like Michelle would want me to do…
I took that one hour just for me and found my joy, my bliss, my journal…
I found my “I am enough” moment.
Thanks for the inspiration, My Friends.
Big Love to you !
As I read your post something occurred to me. If I can soak up bad vibrations when I'm near negative people, can you imagine the energy I'd soak up from you? WHOA! LOVE the energy that comes through your writing and would love to spend atleast an hour sitting with you. Great book cover...powerful. Might have to make something like that.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, love that blue glass hand.
ReplyDeleteKim, you are more than enough, your creativity is an inspiration to others.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Elena, soaking up positivity from the online tribe increases the love, we have no room for anything else!

What a beautiful sentence and beautiful artwork Kim! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Kim, I am always amazed how you can be so upbeat all the time. You never fail to inspire... I hadn't read Judy's blog for awhile and look yesterday and of course it was full of goodness.... Need to head over to Michelle's now. Sometimes it so hard to keep to keep up with everyone. Thanks for the other links to I am off to check them out.
ReplyDeleteyou my sweet are more than enough....over the top filled with enoughness for sharing....i love that about you !
ReplyDeleteOh Kim - this is a lovely, scrumptious, joy inducing post! I love your new page and how you let the Muses inspire you to express something so heartfelt. You, too, are an inspiration and obviously beautifully enough in every single precious moment.
ReplyDeleteI love the page so very much. My holiday gift to myself is to play in my journal every day (if possible, if I FEEL like it) and make time for ME. I spent all of November doing things for other people and now I want to be a little "selfish" by spending time with and on my family and friends and *myself*. I'm off to work in my own journal- thank you for the "kick in the pants" to stop poking around online and get out my paints!
ReplyDeleteI too love soaking up the Big Love here and taking it into my day. Thank you for this beautiful reminder of my enough-ness! ♥ xoO
ReplyDeleteKim...you OOZE joy, kindness , creativity, and colorful JOY!!
ReplyDeleteDiving down deeply into your creative world is an inspiration Kim! You are more than just enough!!
ReplyDeleteLovely post...
ReplyDeleteI love that you recreate yourself every week by learning something new about art, from friends and through self-expression. You rewrite old stories with new, fresh and exciting ones that open you up to loving You and others. Perfect.

ReplyDeleteHow rare it is that we even take an hour for ourselves, especially when the crunch is on for other things like the upcoming holidays. I'm glad you thought of yourself today Kimmypoo.
