(Lac Bibitte, Quebec on a summer’s morning. My favorite piece of Canadian soil and one my sisters and I are blessed enough to be owners of, thanks to my Dad.)
My roots are planted
forever in that dear land.
Canada is home.
Happy Canada Day to all my fellow countrymen and women !
for more haiku celebration, head over to Recuerda Mi Corazon.
ohhhh, what a blessing, indeed! enjoy that beauty and peace!
ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day!
ReplyDeleteFor a very long time, I felt the same way about New Mexico. I felt like I had left my soul behind when we moved to Texas some 20+ years ago. I was wrong, I was just finding it!
You are lucky to have such a wonderful spot to fill your heart.
thank you my darling!! Happy Canada day to the one who has her heart and her feet on both sides of the border!!! The true north, strong and free!!! ♥
ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day!! <3 <3
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to go to... you certainly are blessed and even more so because you spread love and blessings to the world! Enjoy your weekend and holiday (the American and/or the Canadian...)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the beauty!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!! I was in Canada Thursday riding my motorcycle. Have you seen THIS?
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite. My blog will have a story about why I went to Canada on Monday.
In the meantime, your haiku pays a great tribute to a great country, made great by thinking people like you, just like other countries of the world.
Peace
such a beautiful gift from a loving father.
ReplyDeleteoh canada, oh canada....
xoxoxoxoxo
What a beautiful picture and haiku! I'm mostly Canadian French, but was born in Pontiac, Michigan. Why couldn't my grandparents have stayed in Montreal?
ReplyDeleteIt must be beautiful there.
ReplyDeleteAnd William and Kate were there to help Canada celebrate! Congrats to our northern neighbor!
ReplyDeleteI love this peaceful lake--what a treasure for your sisters and you!
I love Canada!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day!!
Indeed you are blessed. Beautiful view.
ReplyDeleteThe power of place! Each of us in our respective countries love our land that we call home. Like you love Canada, I love the U.S.A.--although I get a little discouraged with our politics sometimes. Love your photo. My son's dock in Pt. Angeles, WA looks a lot like yours.
ReplyDeleteHello Kim, my grandparents were born in Notre Dame des bois! My relatives continue to speak french (well half english/half french) LOL! I spoke french before I spoke english.....warm smiles, Sam
ReplyDeleteSpent many a happy day working and playing in BC. And yeah, I wanted to be Canadian (thanks Spadoman for the vid link)
ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day Kim,
ReplyDeleteHow very lucky you are to have this gorgeous piece of paradise!!
