One summer’s morning,
I built myself a shrine.
shrine noun \ˈshrīn, especially Southern ˈsrīn\
Definition of SHRINE
1 a : a case, box, or receptacle; especially : one in which sacred relics (as the bones of a saint) are deposited b : a place in which devotion is paid to a saint or deity : sanctuary
An empty cigar box
that I filled with little gifts from the Universe.
Reminders of my own strengths
and of the love and support I have surrounding me.
A little space where I can show my big devotion to the the truth I have come to believe
whole-heart-ed-ly.
And that truth is,
that no matter how precarious life, and our foot hold in it, may seem,
Love it what will get us through.
Love is what we are here to do.
Love is the answer.
Happy Wednesday, Beautiful Ones !
A shrine is a wonderful idea...and that you built it with your love and the things that have meaning to you will have so much "power" for you to draw from.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea so much- I have a little shrine of sorts in my studio (two shelves full of happy things) but I'd like one outside, in my garden. Thank you for this idea- I think it's just what I need! You always inspire me so much!! <3 <3
ReplyDeleteshrines are awesome. i have them all over our house and property, in special spots :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the mixed media painting! just gorgeous!!
Oh my gosh I love this!! The box, the sentiment and those beautiful voices to carry it all home!
ReplyDeleteMy Queen, I really love the idea of shrines. I collected several books on shrines wanting to make them about ten years ago, but never did. Then recently I won a shrine in the auction for the children in Mexico...I have a small shrine in a box here too for when I start my day. But still I would like to make them. Your special royal shrine is a prompt from the Universe that this is something I need to attend to, whatever this impulse is that is pushing me to acknowledge the divine in a physical, contained way. Wishing you Big Love today and every day, xoO
ReplyDeletemmmm I could do with a shrine right now...thanks for the idea and I sure hope you are right about the love thing :o)
