I can choose happy.
There is such power in that.
I can choose happy.
We had a very rainy week in Maine.
But that’s okay. We rested, read, played obnoxious games on the laptop,
had naps, walked the dog through the puddles, and were snug as a couple of bugs in our little camper in the quiet campground.
We did venture out for some shopping yesterday, when the rain let up for a few hours.
I chose this handmade pottery mug – “happy” on one side, “grumpy” on the other.
This morning, the sun came out.
I did a photo shoot, extreme bed head and all.
No matter what I did, I couldn’t pull off the “grumpy “ !
Too busy making the choice to be happy, I guess.
The bracelet David secretly bought and snuck into the bag for me at the Abacus Gallery store says it all…

I think happy chose you :)
ReplyDeleteHooray! Happy days, happy mug, happy you, happy me!
ReplyDeleteA picture is worth a whole bunch of words, My Queen! Boy, you sure have one heck of a great King there--I've said it before, but I'll say it again. You two must bless each other's socks off!
ReplyDeleteI always feel encouragement when I read about a good relationship, or when one partner gives to another--frankly, especially a man being giving--because I didn't grow up seeing this, nor have I experienced this much in life personally. So when I read things here or elsewhere about good relationships, I have a little glimmer of hope.
I am inspired too by your choosing happy...today, I choose to do the same,
xoO
Choose happy! Every day! Choose happy!
ReplyDeleteMorning Magic Haiku here
No, the grumpy wasn't convincing ;~)

ReplyDeleteAnd again, the sweet man shines. I am glad you have the love you deserve. Sounds so toasty and warm...like a buttered English muffin.
Now I am hungry.
