A Haiku for the Maple Seed :
I let my Self fall
Trusting that where I fall is
My true place to grow.
*********************
It is a spectacular Fall day here in New Hampshire today.
Even right here in my backyard !
Check out this Maple !
I love how the tree colors are reflected in the window of my neighbor’s garage :
What do you see in the reflection?
It looks kind of Chagall-esque to me.
A weird horse head below with an angel holding a baby above ?
Speaking of art that is open for interpretation…
Here is my latest journal page.
I actually only have one page left to complete in this journal.
I have been adding to it for almost two years.
This page was created by just letting paint and ink and black gesso tell me where it want to go.
I am digging the white doodles…a little like the crazy thoughts I have in my brain sometimes…
Not the happiest of pages. My woman with scars looks like she is dealing with a lot.
Like so many of us in this world.
But I think she still sees the beauty…
I know I do.
Wishing you a day filled with trust, beauty and some good haiku !
Big Love, Beautiful Ones !

Mom xoxo
I know the feeling which you put on that page... it's a strange combination of 'wanting to kick or lay back' and it usually turns out into 'nothing' (with me, that is..) I love the lady with the scars... it's about scars lately, I guess. Thanks for stopping by on my blog today, your words 'did good to me' (don't know the english phrase...) Enjoy your weekend my friend!
ReplyDeleteI like that E.B. White quote and I love your interpretation of it!
ReplyDeleteAs for that reflection...I see some monster head in the bottom of the window..with a big eye on top of it's head. Kinda spooky!!!
Have a beautiful weekend beautiful soul! xo

I really like this post, My Queen. Who do you know who is not dealing with a lot. We all have those times, and for some of us they go on and on. I like the uncertainty in her eyes that is at the same time peaceful...it is just a hard time that will pass, is what it feels like to me. I too like the doodles! Have a wonderful weekend, Blessings and love, O
ReplyDeleteFriends seem to pop in
ReplyDeleteJust when you needed them to
Nice to have around
Thanks for your visit today. I needed that. xoxo
I cannot tell you that I always think in a positive manner, but today I am. I believe that it is a happier place when we are doing something about righting the wrongs our hearts tell us about. It is then possible to have a great day and deal with what we feel we need to. Making that choice is hard, not so much the doing.
ReplyDeleteI see a large killer whale in the bottom pane of glass. I saw that before your horse prompt, but now I can see that elongated horse head too.
Your haiku is wonderful and so true. We all really fall where we do. We might think we control it, but I feel we don't. To 'grow' there, is what we must do.
Took me a while to find you today. Somehting about that link over at Rebecca's. I figured it out, but it took me all day. I never got an "A" in Pays attention to detail.
Peace
I know I say this pretty much every day, but your blog posts make me so happy- they make me think and make me *feel* and make me want to create and be and explore and they make me TRUST in the beauty of the world. Thank you, thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove the haiku and your page. Your faces are always so powerful to me. Looking forward to your new journal opening and beginning. xox Corrine

Nice haiku and beautiful pictures:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a spectacular haiku! Our trees haven't given up many leaves yet, it is odd so late in October. But I will say I have enjoyed this warmer than usual autumn. It's the dark mornings that are making me woozy. Love the quote on the beautiful journal page. Indeed, planning a day can be challenging. Riley and I are having lunch with Mom tomorrow and I will be passing her the goods. Have a mahvelous weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteI'm late to blogging, I was out of town. Your trees are gorgeous and I do see the angel and horse head - very cool! I like your journal page, too. What kind of white pen do you use?
I want you to enjoy the world Kim, whilst making tiny improvements where you can. You have so much to give...
ReplyDeleteLOVE the journal page - her scars are such pretty colours.
In the window's reflection I see a T-Rex below a tree where bright birds hide from it...!
Have a wonderful weekend, bright soul! xo
thanks for sharing the photos of your fall colors with us - we don't get that down here in the desert southwest. your journal page captured me for several moments while i thought about the quote and your woman sifting through the stuff of life.
ReplyDeleteI know I do too.
ReplyDeleteI see a rooster!
One of my most favorite quotes!
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, sometimes you feel just like a twin to me.
Beautiful post. As Ever. Love, Lisa
I love your haiku for this post, and I saw a reflection of a horse before reading what you wrote! Amazing! Have a magical day my queen.
ReplyDeleteThe fall colors are so beautiful..but your journal pages are what stopped me in my tracks! Love..love..love what you've created here!
