Leave to the Hibiscus !

photo

Lily the Frog and I are going to try and forget perfect today.

photo

Let’s leave that one to the hibiscus !

My sister and her gang arrive later today and instead of focusing on how fun it is going to be and how much David and I have done to accommodate and prepare for the sweet family we love,

I am continually seeing all the things that didn’t get done or what isn’t “perfect”.

Why is that crazy voice so damn strong ????

Anyway, I am off to walk with the doggie and hopefully, come back with a new focus.

Happy Monday, Beautiful Ones !

Let’s focus on what is right, shall we ?

Winking smile

  1. That voice is built-in...we want things to be "just right" and we gravitate to all the "didn't do" on the list vs. all the "OMG I can't believe I got all that done!" -- so have a good walk with Chica, breathe deeply and realize just how much you did accomplish for this family that you love and remember -- they are coming to spend time with both of YOU and that in itself is perfection! Enjoy the wonderful family time!! ♥

  3. Oh My Queen, I have some wisdom for you today from Mary O'Malley: "That I feed the hungry, forgive an insult, and love my enemy…these are great virtues. But what if I should discover that the poorest of the beggars and the most impudent of offenders are all within me, and that I stand in need of the alms of my own kindness; that I myself am the enemy who must be loved? What then? ~Carl Jung" Have a wonderful day, xoO

  6. i heard they have a pill for that....well, actually it's a cup of tea {or a cold soda} and chocolate while sitting in your beautiful love shack outside, all while petting your furry loves :)

honestly, i think doing that will send those pesky perfect bugs a running !!!

if not, a blindfold always works :)

ps....your family loves you....YOU YOU YOU....in the voice of ketut from eat pray love :)

  12. I love your thought of forgetting perfect.
Perfect can mean "whole" and I like thinking of "wholeness" more than the word perfect. Lol! In fact, when I was a little girl my sisters used to call me "little miss perfect"!!! Lol! They were not complimenting me ; 0
    ah well...let's forget perfect...
    have a lovely week.
    Hugs,
    Terri
