I wish I were more like the me that I am on the inside on the outside.
That said...
The Me I am
Is
Pretty Damn
Good
I think...
Here's some of the beauty in my world this morning.
Those crazy morning glories keep popping up everywhere...
like little messages to say "Go for it ! Bloom just where you are!"
This dahlia is about 6 inches across -
one of the few blooms on my "dinner plate" sized plants
- more like dessert plate because of the crappy July weather,
but so gorgeous and strong and tenacious anyway...

but so gorgeous and strong and tenacious anyway...
qualities I want to nurture in myself ...
And this one...thanks to my friend beth,
I saw her beauty this morning
though I am usually kind of scared by them - they move too fast...
The camera was my shield this morning I guess..
.
Anyway, I captured her in a still moment
She had built a web from the door knob to the dahlia...
talk about brave and strong and tenacious...
Reminded me of one of my favorite children's books of all time, of course
Looked up quotes from Charlotte's Web by E.B. White
and found this :
"Wilbur: I think you're beautiful.
Charlotte: Well, I am pretty. Nearly all spiders are good looking.
I'm not as flashy as some, but I'll do. "
And that feels like it fits today...
Off to see some more stuff...
Have a beautiful day, Sweet Ones !

Could you compose any better? I think not my friend!! I love the lines from "Charlotte's Web"...they are so perfect for you, for this post.
ReplyDeleteI love the journal page and I love that dahlia...Kim that looks like a painting, not a photograph. Simply gorgeous. Just like you!! :)
"I wish I were more like the me that I am on the inside on the outside."....WOW! I feel like that so often and as I get older I feel that people only see my age and not what is inside.
ReplyDeleteYour journal page is amazing! I love it. And that huge dahlia.... I could sit and look at that all day!
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Hugs - beautiful Queen Rock Fairy!
I loved that childhood book too. The quote makes me smile. "But I'll do." That's good enough for me too. Loved the pictures!
ReplyDeleteLook at all this beauty! So good to come here and drench myself in it.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, Kim, about your outside matching your inside. We see your beauty every time we visit.
Fantastic post... I LOVE your journal pages. I have been contemplating that myself lately. Read a post of Debbi Bakers blog about living authentically too - must be on a few peoples minds lately.
ReplyDeleteYour quote, Are you the you you wish you were? Wonderful and gives you a lot to think about. I'm of to do a journal page now!
Jacky xox
Lovely blooms !
I love that quote from Charlotte's Web, I can hear her voice saying it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post...the question in your journal page is amazing too...went straight to my heart and soul.
Kim,
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely post, the images word, your wonderful art.
I too feel "I wish I were more like the me that I am on the inside on the outside." I think you hit a cord with a lot of us there. I also feel the opposite that I may exude confidence and strength and all that jazz to other people when I really am not feeling it inside.
Kate
What is it that stops us from being on the outside what we are on this inside?
ReplyDeleteI'm working on this one, however in the mean time thank you for being you - I love your outside!
Very timely topic at this time of my life. Love how you brought the subject to beautiful LIFE in COLOR with Wonderful Words!! and forget it, Javiar is lookin at ME!! and you're right I'm sure he's got a panoramic view of all the lovely ladies....xoSusan
ReplyDeleteGreat page...and it poses such an interesting question to ponder!
ReplyDelete"I'll do" - what a wonderful thought to share. I think "I'll do" too. Pretty powerful words, I think. Another lovely post with great spiritual and art work in it. Such a beautiful world you create for us to see and realize.
ReplyDeletewhen I was in primary school, the teacher read this book to us and I sat spellbound to every word.
ReplyDeleteThen the movie came out many years later and it was so true to the book, I adored every minute.
I think it teaches us about the ephemeral nature of life, that it changes and there is birth, death and re birth every second of every minute of every day.
I like your journal page quite a lot ... and what a thought provoking thought ... will have to ponder that one. :)
ReplyDeleteps ... our dog is named Fern after, well, I'm sure you've guessed.
Hi, Kim! Beautiful journal page! I love all the bright, cheerful, rich colors you use and blend all over your pages. What a gift! :-)
