drip. drip. drip. drip. drip.
Melting winter frozen-ness.
I wait for Spring’s kiss.
***************************
We have had a few days of such warm and sunny weather for February !
It has been so good for me.
I have been out, soaking it in, breathing deeply, sharing it with friends and basically just loving it !
I said to a friend “ Ah, but this is just a tease !”
My friend replied, “No, not a tease. A promise.”
Loved that !
So while winter may still give us some major blasts of its power,
this sweet promise has melted a big chunk of the ice damn inside me.
Going with that today !
Happy Friday, Beautiful Ones.
Go and check out some more haiku my heart here.
Oh! That is so sweet. : )
ReplyDeleteThat must be a good feeling within and the rising hopes of better tomorrows!!

Doesn't that sun feel spagnanimous?! I wanted to kiss the rain this morning washing away so much snow! I don't care that it's all going to freeze again by tomorrow, I am seizing the moment!
ReplyDeleteI too like the idea of promise, we had warmth and then the cold and wind yesterday was awful but we have sunshine again so it is a promise of things to come.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday to you....
i thought it was a tease, too.....i like "promise" better...

ReplyDeleteThe kisses are coming!

We've been melting in the sunshine out my way too - loving it so much.
ReplyDeleteHey, I went to the bookstore earlier and you'll never guess what I found!! Patti's new book, with your lovely artwork front and center. Made me soooooo happy to bring that home.

Hello Kim dear,
ReplyDeleteLove to see you lying in the sun like that. We had some wonderful rays ourselves but right now torrential downpour in Santa Barbara! I think it will be a beautiful Spring! Thank you for your lovely visit to my blog today.
xoxo,
Noelle
You sure look like something's melting inside too... love the photo! I wish you al lot more 'melting days' and sunny skies!
ReplyDeleteWe, too, have been enjoying a sunny, blue-skyed thaw. Sadly, we're currently preparing for an ice storm due tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI love your freinds take on the warm February thaw too. It is a promise. The SacredEarth Mother makes promises daily, and has never disappointed as the Grandfather Sun and Grandmother Moon are always there, even when they hide behind clouds.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying the warmer fresh air. Your photo is beautiful. You look so peaceful and relaxed. Nice job all around.
Peace.

A perfect promise. We've had a major jump in the sunshine quotient and temperature factor here, these past few days, too. Soaking it up feels sooo good, as evidenced by your photo. :)
