I had a really nice time though, and saw many loved ones in a short period of time.

Good for the heart !

The rest of this week and the beginning of next will be spent preparing for another up-coming art and soul adventure with my friend Colleen. Very excited !!!

More later.

Rock Fairy Flight

IMG_1140

Yep, the Rock Fairy is off her rocker this week !

(Some people may say that I am off my rocker most days !Winking smile)

I am leaving behind the cozy front porch

and the nice tree lined views from the back deck,

IMG_1145

as well as my newly planted little bit of color

IMG_1143

IMG_1142

to head way up north to Montreal.

It will be a whirlwind trip but I will get to hug and have a little time

with some very important peeps in my world.

I will have to focus on quality and not quantity, as so often happens when I head up there to visit. So many people I love and so little time !

That’s okay though. They are all so very worth it !

Plus I get to smooch on the newest member of my gang of peeps,

my friend Andrea’s baby son, Anderson who was born on May11th !

From the pictures I have seen on Facebook, I am in for a real baby-lovers treat !!!!

Be back Thursday to share the joy.

Have a great week, Beautiful Ones !

Haiku My Heart–Stay Trusting

IMG_1126

Your job is simple.

Resist the impulse to fix.

Stay trusting in Love.

IMG_1127

I have missed Haiku Friday for a few weeks and I have also very much missed the energy that comes from sharing little bits of our hearts in this way.

It feels good to return to this !!!

Rather than write anything about some of the struggles of the week

which I had the impulse to do this morning,

(most of them were taking place in my very own mind anyway!)

I am choosing to get back to my real job.

And that is

sending Big Old Love

and shiny, white Light out

to

all of you,

Beautiful Ones !

Have a sweet Memorial Day weekend and feel da LOVE!

Share the Joy Thursday Ain’t Always Easy

Some days, it is so damn hard to focus on the joy.

Monkey brain greeted me this morning.

Hate that. Hate that. Hate that.

When I spoke to my mom, she reminded me that random acts of kindness are a great way to chase the negative thoughts away.

I also remembered that returning to that attitude of gratitude helps a great deal too.

It seems that staying in a joyful place is going to be work today.

But I am so grateful for the tools.

from Christine Mason Miller’s newsletter

IMG_1104

When it's over, I want to say: all my life

I was a bride married to amazement.

I was a bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

When it's over, I don't want to wonder

if I have made of my life

something particular, and real.

I don't want to find myself sighing and frightened

or full of argument.

I don't want to end up simply having visited this world.

~ Mary Oliver ~

Excerpt from When Death Comes

Put onto a colorful page with a dip pen and some magenta ink

documenting a “particular” and “real” bit of my Self in every mark.

The tools to finding joy are so abundant.

Just have to remember to pick them up and use them, right ?

May the joy come easily to you today, Beautiful Ones !

Big Love !

Love Ocean Heaven and my Mommy’s Visit

I had a lovely weekend !

My Mom’s visit was a sweet one.

Friday night, David and I took her out to the “bahr” and we had some beers and chicken wings. Fun !

We spent Saturday shopping in our no tax NH stores.

My Mom ended up with a beautiful summer wardrobe chosen by her and her personal shopper.

She is going to feel beautiful all summer long !

Sunday, we got to go to the beach !

It was about 85 degrees in Manchester, but only about 65 in Hampton Beach, and that ocean wind made it feel even cooler !

But the sun was shining and the waves were rolling !

IMG_1065

The original plan was for me to head to back to Montreal along with my Mom

for a few days,

because there is a new baby boy for me to meet !

My dear friend Andrea, gave birth to her son, Anderson, on May 11th and I am really wanting to go and give him a huge snuggle, and a big hug to his beautiful Mommy and loving Daddy.

But there are some things that need doing here this week, so the visit is postponed  for a bit.

I am so looking forward to that sweet baby smell !

I also felt relieved and pleased when I gave into the change in plans this morning.

I think that is how you know that you are making the right decision about things, don’t you ?

See you soon, Andrea and your beautiful threesome !

****************

Here are a few of my latest journal pages.

I haven’t been doing as much art making as I would like.

I really want to get back to doing at least a few pages a week in my journal.

IMG_0979

This page was done the day after Anderson was born. My sister had called me and told me about the death of her dear neighbor. One birth and one death in my extended circle in one day.

IMG_0980

Another reminder of the preciousness of each and every day.

And how important it is to live this life to its fullest in the present moment…

IMG_1019

For me that means focusing as much as possible on what is good in order to keep the positive growing in my world…

I hope you have a glorious Monday, Beautiful Ones,

and that the good stuff nurtures your Soul !

Big Love !

Share the Joy Thursday–Right in my own backyard

Some of the things on this weeks Joy List come from my very own back yard !

There were some lovely messages from some of the plants back there as well as such joy in spending time with that incredible green growing !!!

IMG_1007

The elephant ear hosta, sent me some messages as I watched it basking in the morning sun!

IMG_1012

Look at the size of these incredible leaves !

IMG_1008

Talk about Living Big in the present moment!

A month ago, it was a small tuber in the ground and now it is bursting with life and power.

Wowza !

What would my life look like if I took on the hosta challenge ?

Hmmm…

IMG_1014

Then there was another message of the glorious lupine leaves.

IMG_1006

Their leaves are as beautiful as a flower !

The message I received from them is to

IMG_1009

yourself just as you are in this moment.

Don’t wait for the big bloom to shower yourself with appreciation.

You are remarkable just as you are today.

Mmmm, that feels good.

Winking smile

Cutting a sweet blossom from the Chica Bush also brought me some joy this morning.

We have this very pretty bush at the end of the driveway and we have no idea what it is really called. It blooms with these sweet white/pink trumpets every spring and on into the summer.

Way back when, before we fenced in our back yard, Chica used to be tied near that bush to do her business.

And whenever she could, she would chew on its branches as if it were the sweetest candy !

Hence the name “Chica Bush”.

Luckily, Chica now has full rights to the whole back yard and the bush has now become full and healthy again.

IMG_1010

I brought some joy into the studio and put it in a sweet vase that reminds me of my friend, Bethie.

Hmmm, look-y here !

I guess this is the message for today from the back yard of the Yellow House on Orange Street.

IMG_1014IMG_1010IMG_1009

Not a bad one at all !

Happy Thursday, Beautiful Ones !
