Marigolds are known as the "Herb of the Sun" and are symbolic of passion and creativity. The Welsh believed that if marigolds were not open early in the morning, then a storm was on the way. Marigolds have been used as love charms and incorporated into wedding garlands. Water made from marigolds was thought to induce psychic visions of fairies if rubbed on the eyelids. In some cultures, marigold flowers have been added to pillows to encourage prophetic or psychic dreams. Livingarts Originals
I hope your day has some creativity and passion in it.

Thank you for popping by my blog and for leaving comments! So nice to find a blogger that responds to others that have taken the time to leave comments. I don't find that very often in blogland. You're truly one in a million!
Lovely herbal lore to go along with your graphic pages and stones. xox
Wonderful post and I love your wrapped stones. Marigolds are one of my favorite flowers, too! Big love to you my friend!
those wrapped rocks look like jewelry to me...lovely pendants for sure!
Fun journal page!
Love marigolds. They are also good for keeping unwanted bugs out of the garden supposively! I used to grow them in abundance!
Love the monochrome look. The addition of the marigold was perfect. I loved hearing about the marigold symbolism, such a great post.

Marigolds are so bright and beautiful so I tried to grow some this year but they're being a little slow! It's lovely to see a photo to keep me going until they bloom.
I love your new 'reaching out' pebbles, how tricky it must have been to tie them so sweetly like that, your fingers are very clever. :)

I love the shades of marigolds although as a cluster of flowers, they never really turned my crank. I am loving the contrast with the black and white here, though and especially the flower in your hair!
Lovely.
Hi Kim, what a interesting post. Your photos are beautiful. I got a new cused computer so now I can comment. how I have missed being able to. hugs to you.
My Queen, I never know WHAT to expect when I come here lately! There are so many new surprises, all beautiful! I really do like the monochrome. It's fun to step outside the box, isn't it? I would like to be able to do more of that. Wishing you many more days of art and beauty, xoO
i love you and what you do in color or monochrome....

inside, your heart is burning brightly with the most wonderful and vivid colors anyone has ever even attempted to see....xxoo

Oh, oh! I totally am in love with your wrapped rocks and journal page! I have been meaning to wrap some rocks for a necklace and haven't gotten to it! these are stunning! I have been carrying one of the rocks you sent me in my pocket regularly! I wrapped a note on a strip of paper my mother gave me around it and carried it like a talisman.... Until i washed it by accident!
Loving your journal page!
