Run Away and Join the Circus...

So another rainy day in NH = "cruddy" mood.

(Can't help it - this weather sucks !!!!!! Where is my summer ??)

Cruddy mood + art play (with color + light + good tunes)= better mood (at least > than with no art play).

Did the math, took some advice from the wonderful Leah at Creative Everyday

about meeting myself where I was in my art,

as well as some inspiration from e.b. at Be...Dream...Play...

on what to do with paint puddles,

and came up the the following results on a rainy day afternoon :

(art journal paint puddle peeps a la e.b.)

I let myself be surprised.

I let the paint flow where it wanted to flow.

I let my imagination run wild.

I was in the moment.

and I flew....

I ran away and joined the circus...

(art journal page - "There is a crazy circus inside of me today"

done with green India ink puddles formed into circus beings)

Became an acrobat capable of infinite flexibility.

All this movement without ever physically leaving

the four walls of my studio.

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the one who'll decide where you'll go. Oh the places you'll go..." Dr. Seuss"

Now there was a guy who knew how to play

And guess what ?

So do I.

It is a day later and the sun is burning its way through much thinner clouds today. Yay ! I need the sun ! So does the Chica Dog who is stir crazy ! I think a long walk is in order. Oh, the places I'll go... ;)

Play today ! It's good for ya !

There is no end to your imagination. Stupendous puddles! You look great in your new "do", too. Not boyish at all. I'm so happy to hear your sun is trying to come through. Enough with the soggy!

Wow!

Your journal pages always amaze me! I love random ones too. It's been rainy here in OH too...terribly rainy and cold. I wouldn't mind running off to a circus for a little while :) Went out with a hubby on a boat ride and all the colors and characters were sort of circusy, lol!

Glad the sun broke through a little!
