Big Hearts Walking Play Date December 2009

So how can I describe it ?

These 6 wonderful women got together in Manchester, NH, one early December Saturday afternoon, (which ended up to be the first significant snowfall of 2009 by the way...)

(back row - Gretchen, Colleen, Jill, Kriss front row - Kim, Corrine)

to play...

to be with other like-minded artist women...

to do something just for themselves...

to support the creative expression and growth of others, and of their own artist soul...

to feel like a part of a community of creative people...

and most of all,

to just be really, really present in their own lives for that moment in time...

There was laughter, giggles, sharing of stories and maybe even a few secrets...

There was trusting, and understanding and kindness and giving and best of all, no judgement !

Oh, and there was lots of fun art making too !

The main thing I came away with from our lovely afternoon, (which stretched into the evening and even over night for some of us ! ;)),was a deep sense of thankfulness.

I was thankful that these women took time out of busy schedules to come to the little event that I organized.

I was thankful that everyone was glad that they had decided to come.

I was thankful that everyone was cared for, including myself !

And I was just so thankful to be there !

So a huge thank you to

the beautiful, wonderfully grounded and sweetly gentle Kriss,

the beautiful, extremely enthusiastic and generous Gretchen,

The beautiful, brave and incredibly visionary Colleen,

The beautiful, immensely kind and wonderfully curious Jill,

and

the beautiful, accommodating and infinitely supportive Corrine

for being there and for making it an experience that this happy Big Heart will never forget !

Bring on the next one !

Tomorrow I will post about some of the great art play that we did during our special afternoon !

Happy Monday to you all, Beautiful Ones !

Happy women, carrying on their version of "Squam Love" in their own way -- taking the message that Squam is meant to be about and making it happen. All is takes is one person to say "lets do this" and it can happen...I'm so glad that you did.

Secrets...ah...there is something magical about sharing secrets!! :)

Yay for friends and art and living and loving! Sounds like it was a fun time. Maybe next time, another time I'll take the road down and join you, but it will have to be a snow-free season!

Kim- This post brings tears to my eyes. I felt I got to be me, to truly enjoy myself. No one was trying to out do any one or make them feel not included. I'm extreamly happy I came and that I met all of you at Squam.
Thank You, Kim for EVERYTHING!!
