Summer Loving In Spite of the Rain

Did I enjoy my time in La Conception, Quebec ?

Yes, I did ! Check out cute Katie's body nods ! Too Funny !

Here are my lovely hosts, my sister Kristina and her hubby John,

looking all lovey-dovey !

Nanny even stopped by to push the Cutie Cupcake on the swing.

And one of the best things about the trip was that the

sun and heat were around for the first couple of days - so very needed by me !

Unlike in New Hampshire, where it has rained 18 out of the last 22 days,

La Conception got a bit of a break that allowed for some fun in the lake frolicking !

Mud baths were a fav of big brother Thomas.

But I think little Katie loves good old fashion splashing, splashing, splashing the best !

Summer loving...

Had me a blast !

Today I am trying to settle back into to home and to get caught up with my pals in Blogland. I feel kind of disconnected from everything, so I think it will take a little effort to re-connect !

I feel the need to spend some time with my journal - too many days away from it makes me feel like I am missing an appendage or something ! ;)

I think my landing would be a lot easier if it would stop raining and get summer warm ! This all rain-all the time crap is not even fun for the ducks anymore !

Oh and, baby did a bad, bad thang...

Okay, not really bad,

But I went and had all my hair cut off on a whim while I was away.

The cut is cute but I feel like a boy...

I was trying to let it grow but just got fed up...

Now I want my pigtails back :( ....

Maybe I will put a full face on, don some earrings and take some photos of the new boyish me to show you tomorrow...

David says it suits my bratty self, which is good I guess...

Here's a song to mirror my rain melancholy...so beautiful really...man, those guys could do it !

Hope you are getting some good summer loving too! Glad to be home !

I'm so glad you had a good time AND that there was sunshine and warmth...the soul needs that...I hear you about too much rain...it's enough already! It's been half and half here in Toronto and when that sun comes out? Oooohh baby I'm out there!!

Love the photos of the little ones in the lake -- all that mud, some splashing and happy faces!!

I want to see a photo of the what did your dh say, "bratty self"??? lol!!! I think you will look amazing with a short cut...you have such a beautiful face and gorgeous eyes and longer hair can take away from our best features. This style must really make your features sparkle!!! ♥

Kim,

welcome back. I was gone a week and have some difficulty figuring out where I left off. I find re-entry a difficult thing to do.
So where is the pic of your lovely new self.

I love the pics of the kids! They are so beautiful...I think kids have the most natural beauty.

It's rainy here too, but I sort of like it for some reason. It feels right, but I wouldn't mind the sun peaking out, which I think it will do (I work in a basement so the florescent lights are always shining, lol).

Welcome back and can't wait to see your amazing haircut!!

Hi, Kim! So glad you had a tremendous visit. Fabulous photos, too! The picture of sweet Katie nodding at the camera is adorable! And big brother Thomas looks all boy playing in the mud! Hope you get some make-up time in your art journal! :-)

Welcome home! Looks like you had a wonderful time. It is always hard (but good) coming home and getting back into the swing of the things you miss the most.

Hair ... what can I say? !!! I wanted something different a couple of months ago and got mine layered. Everyone seems to like it, but me! I have to curl it. I want to blow dry and go. It is growing out and now, I remember why I had it the old for so long. All that said, I like other folks new dos ... looking forward to seeing yours!

So glad the weather co-operated a little, great that you got in the lake and to bask in the sun. Kids are fabulous, aren't they? Especially when they are other people's! It's hard to make it through that inbetween stage with hair. I would like to cut mine shorty-short too but I'm too chicken. I'd love to see your cut, I'm sure you are gorgeous and still very much the Queen!

I want to see the new you!! I've been in the blahs here from the weather too...my bones do not like the cold! We have drought conditions but cold weather. It's almost worse than rain, the trees are all dying and the grass is brown...in green, green Alberta! Crazy!

I'm looking forward to getting to work on a certain journal. LOTS of ideas!!

Miss you and hope I get my art groove on soon.
