Zen Traffic Tips from the Queen

So Sunday was about 92 degrees here and very humid.

We decided to go to the beach to cooooool down.

So did the entire state of New Hampshire, it would seem.

Got to within about 2 miles of the beach and hit a total gridlock of traffic in the one lane of cars headed to the beach.

Did I say that heat makes me cranky ?

The air conditioner was doing its thing in the car, thank God !

Did I say that traffic makes me cranky too ?

Then I got Zen...

Be in the moment...

This moment is all we have...

Have camera

Will shoot whatever...

rust on post outside window

traffic face

don't take my picture, you are nuts face

back seat car behind us shot

camera reflection shot

feet below shot

extreme ear close up - Dave

extreme ear close-up - Kim

way too much cleavage but hey shot

make-up mirror smirk

So while the treasures we enjoyed at the beach once we finally got there were innumerable and so very valuable...

heart rock found in the surf

Man, I need a manicure shot

as were the lessons we received about being in the moment and living mindfully...

This Shot ?

Priceless ! ;)

Seriously, beautiful man, thank you for really being in the moments with me. And thanks for putting up with, I mean, for loving all my craziness ! Love you !

Great shots! Way to go for staying in the now.
Oh, and btw, there is no such thing as "too much cleavage" :-)

Love all of these, but the camera reflection shot is my fav! Ditto on the heat and traffic crankiness, but, oh, I'm so glad you got to the beach!

Too funny! Isn't life grand when you just let it be?! Some days easier than others, but what big lessons come with it. Well done!

So glad you "got zen"!
Your shots were great and I appreciate how you have the sheet in the back for Chica.

What an entertaining post! Almost wish I was there in the car with you because I bet you had a great time. It was worth everything to find that heart rock. And actually, the rusty post made a beautiful shot. You make me smile. (oh, and if I had cleavage like that I'd be taking pictures of it and posting them everyday)

Love the "in traffic" shots! They made me smile :-) Funny...I've seen that same sarcastic look on my husband's face from time to time, especially when I have the camera in my hand!
I heart the "heart rock" too!

Love your pics! The attitude faces are awesome. I know a bunch of people who say the heat makes them cranky. Being hungry makes me cranky!

Well done! I think this post is great. One time I was in a similar traffic/hot situation, but I was lacking the zen. My tiny daughter, from the back seat, points out how beautiful the graffiti is. I felt like such a jerk, if this little kid could keep her cool, and enjoy the moment, what the heck was the matter with me. Lesson learned.
Great post.

Yup, I agree with all the cleavage envy! (No wonder your sweetie has that look on his face!) hehe
