Haiku My Heart–Tender Spirit

heartsinhands

Our hearts in our hands

Ready to give or receive

The sweet gift of Love.

****************

I am starting to feel it just a little.

That Christmas spirit.

It is very different this year.

It is a tender, soft, maybe even fragile thing.

At least until I choose to infuse it with the spirit of LOVE.

Working on that here as I put up a few simple but special decorations for David and I to enjoy,

and as I go out early in the day to purchase the few store-bought gifts that I am buying this year (mostly for the kiddos).

It is feeling good, like I am ready.

Keeping the LOVE in focus is making my spirit bright !

Sending out the gifts of love and light to you and yours, Beautiful Ones.

You, my dear friend, send the love and the light to everyone all year long. It is gratefully appreciated, I can tell you. You are one of the special people that have touched my life and actually DO hold my heart in their hands.

Much Peace to you and all you hold dear

Kim, I think you are describing exactly what Christmas is meant to be...soft and fragile. And tender. At the risk of sounding all Charlie Brown and Linus, I'm being serious. So much of Christmas has become commercial and hustle and bustle and decorating like Clark Griswold and trying to evoke a Hallmark card...it's meant to be soft, loving, kindness, tender thoughts...you've got the spirit and had it all along. It's the rest of the world that needs to catch up to you! xoxox

The spirit of Christmas, soft and tender...that is beautiful Kim.
And those hands! I love them, what a perfect illustration for your haiku about the sweet gift of Love. Of which, you are an authority:)

I couldn't help but think of this poem by e. e. cummings after I viewed your post. Hope you like it.

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)i am never without it(anywhere i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
