This is what my work table looks like right now.
My Mom's boss, Shelly, gave me a request for twelve bags of Rock My World rocks.
So I have been busily painting, and writing, varnishing and packaging up my rocks.
I love making them.
I get into a kind of zone, with music on and
my white pen (Sharpie Poster Paint -Extra Fine Point has been working well for me !) flying
across my rocks as the love thoughts keep coming...
Some rocks are repeat messages that I have made before
but there are always a few new ones that just seem to come
when I get in the Spread The Love Zone
Today as I was playing, I was listening to Pandora Radio.
If you haven't signed up for this, you really should.
It is a free internet radio station that you program yourself, with the music that you like. There is only about one commercial an hour, and you get to listen to whatever kind of music makes you happy. I love it and it has become what I listen to most of the time in the studio.
This is the gift I was given from Pandora today.
This is an old David Gray song (1992), but I fell completely in love with the lyrics. It works pretty well for the theme of my life and the lives of so many of my friends these days.
"We're gonna go where we can SHINE..."
So not only have I received the gift of an order for rocks, and some "soundtrack of my life" music, but I have also received some incredible gifts from some amazing women who are on this winding path with me.
Check out what came in the mail quite unexpectedly from my lovely explorer friend Kate, at the Queen of Creativity :
She sent me this gorgeous card that she said made her think of me. How cool is that ? The quote from Picasso reads :
"I don't know what inspiration is. But when it comes I hope it finds me working."
Thanks you so much, Kate, for your thoughtfulness and care, and also for the Blogland Love you bring to my blog and my life, with each comment and connection we have !
You are an awesome Soul !
The Rock My World rocks are connected to a few other treats I have received lately.
I sent the incredibly talented beth at be yourself...everyone else is taken some rocks as a little thank you for all she puts out into the world.
And in return, she did a post about me when she received them. It really made my heart sing. beth's words made me feel connected, feel appreciated, and feel, well... NICE ! ;) .

The last gift I really wanted to share comes from a new friend of mine in Blogland.
Roberta (aka Artcy Lucy) at rcs creations ordered some Rock My World rocks from the Etsy shop when she saw this picture on a recent post here. She attached a note explaining why that rock connected so much with her.

Roberta has received her order and on her blog yesterday,
she posted
the best photo EVER of one of my rocks !
The best part of the whole thing is that Roberta shared how inspired she has been by these little Love Rocks. It still blows me away every time that the love I put out really goes and touches others, and then finds its way back to me.
Finally, I need to mention how much I appreciate, totally soak up and bask in the wonderful comments that I receive on my blog posts. Our Blogland Lovefest adventure has become a true richness in my life.
So thank you, my Blogland Beautiful Ones, for all the many gifts you give me.
I am so very,
very,
very
grateful.

I can see why you are greatful for all these sweet friends you have met in blogland. They see your bright inner love light and shine it back on you.
As your sister, I am priveledged to have had that love all my life. You are special and I love you.
That David Gray song got me moving around the house which is exactly what I needed to do.
P.S. I'm very excited to have some of your rocks. (I visited Etsy and did a little shopping.)

I am glad you liked my surprise. The card is from Lainie Taylor's line called Lainie's Ladies. She has cards, bookmarks and larger ladies too. A friend gifted me with the writing one which I do love.
Your rocks are great. I love the messages that you come up with.
Kate
So glad you are feeling good and rocking away! I fell in love with Pandora Radio when it first came out, but then they took it away from Canada. Waaa!
Kim, I am SO happy you like the rock photo! I have to say, I have never before been tempted to take a photo of myself with a rock on my nose...but your love rocks are so cool, I wanted to share the message :-)
Thanks again for spreading the love, joy and happiness in this crazy upside down world...it touches so many lives.
