Haiku My Heart–Let the Heart Choose

Choices float in minds

Will this one be right or wrong ?

Listen to the heart.

It seems like so many of us are questioning…

thinking,

analyzing,

pondering,

debating,

and often,

worrying

about choices.

All of this is taking place in our minds.

If you are anything like me,

that can be a scary, chaotic place sometimes…

Now the heart…

ah, the heart…

Bringing choice closer to our heart…

Doesn’t that just feel better ?

I know the mind has its purpose and its work to do,

but on this day,

this longest day,

this first day of summer,

I think I will let the heart be in charge !

Morning in the studio and

afternoon at the beach !

That’s what the beautiful heart of mine wants !

Haiku My Heart–The Words Said…

The pursuit wears on.

Strive, change, chase, never enough.

Just be happy NOW !

This morning I awoke with that striving mode, self-defeating monkey brain crap in my head.

“Yeah, you’re making changes but you have so much to change, you’ll never get there !”

“Other people have the answers and are applying them and having “success”. It must be you who is weak.”

“Weak.”

“Weak.”

Man, it sucks to wake up like that.

I got up, poured myself a cup of coffee and headed to the computer.

One of the first things I read on Facebook was this :

This morning, these were the exact words I needed to banish the monkey brain and those negative thoughts !

JUST BE HAPPY.

Those words started ringing in my mind like a sweet chime.

I took a bunch of deep breaths and thought “Yes.”

Felt “Yes.”

Phew…

Of course, monkey brain tried a few times to put up a fight, focused on what was “wrong” and “not enough”,

but the real me is finding the strength to tell that pain in the butt part of my brain to f-off !

So the plan for today is focusing on

just

being

happy.

And just maybe,

with a little help from my monkey brain banishing friends,

I can BE there for awhile.

Haiku My Heart–Time to rise up

 

February’s gone !

Winter’s grip is slackening.

My time to rise up.

This is how Boo and I feel about winter.

None of us here are sad to see the month of February go !

When I realized the date today,

it made me feel lighter somehow.

Like it is time to shake off the cloak and let the lengthening light warm me into action and into moving forward.

Hope,

I think is what they call it.

And I will take it !

Haiku My Heart–Whole Joy

 

My joy was shattered.

Friends came and showed me such love.

Joy is whole again !

I so loved all the responses to my shattered joy yesterday !

So many amazing peeps who got what it meant to me when that poor “O” bit the dust !

And so many loving comments about how I am connected to them through the joy I try and share here. That touched me deeply.

Also, some creative people with great suggestions about what I could put in place of my broken letter.

I loved bacon’s idea of a sunshine ! And Mary was right, Hobby Lobby was the first place that came to mind to go looking for a replacement.

And that’s where I found what worked for me !

This perfect light turquoise round wooden mirror in just the right size!

It makes a perfect new “O” !

This morning, with all that blog love,

with the help of my sweet David,

JOY is securely in place !
