Here's what come about last night...
"And so much more..." - art journal page, June 3, 2009
Click to enlarge. Photo cropped and then printed on ink jet transparency. Transfered with Golden Gel Medium onto painted background. Text written with fountain pen and indian ink. White details done with Elmers Painter Markers - ultra fine tip.
I tried to concentrate on the positive things that I think I am, but a few negatives jumped in.
That's okay though, because it gives a more realistic picture of who I am to myself
and a reminder that I don't have to be perfect,
I just have to BE...

Oh, oh, oh, ... I love this page! I love how you've circled certain words. This is just great. You are great! Is great on the list? :D
Hello, Kim the Rock Fairy! I love love LOVE this journal page! It is stunning! I love all the yummy background colors and textures. I love how you've added accent doodles to the title words. I love how you've circled some words for emphasis. It is fabulous! :-)
You are, you are, you are!! I hope you always remember who you are and what you mean to yourself and to others!
I love this page! My favorite is the awesome photo transfer, I have tried the technique a few times but not with your great results. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, you lovely ladies ! Your comments made my day !
Jane - this is actually one of the first times a photo transfer worked so well for me too. The trick is in the medium, I think. I have tried Liquitex to very poor results but the Golden is so fine in so many ways ! Another tip - don't touch, poke, speed dry your transfer or mess with it until it is completely dry (overnight is best if you are that good !) - this takes all of my patience as I am an instant gratification type of gal - but just leaving it to dry is the best way to go for good results !
I think you hit the nail on the head here... a realistic picture.. my favorite sort of journal page.
A fun page ~ I'm loving the backgrounds you've been creating lately, Kim!
I can imagine how hard it must have been to think of and list all the "things you are". But what a list! It's fascinating reading what other people journal about themselves, perhaps I am a bit of a voyeur! Thanks for sharing your techniques too, what kind of ink-jet printer do you use?
This is wonderful. You are wonderful!
I think I'm going to try to respond to one of these awesome prompts one day...one day. I love this page though and you really are beautiful!
Kim,
I love this, I am going to do my own. Thanks for the link and idea too. You are always inspiring me to try something. I love that.

The transfer is gorgeous. I may have to get some tips on this. I have all the stuff at home waiting for me to try this and I've wanted to for so long. It's a wonderful part to a gorgeous page. I think perfect isn't perfect, if you get my meaning. You are perfectly imperfect.
I know I will have a lot to read to catch up on you and it may take more than one visit, but I wanted to make sure today I at least left a big gushy thank you for all of your support and friendship. It has meant so much to me and you truly have an impact on my life. Thank you for all you give me!

I haven't checked in for a while and I'm glad I chose today to do it. What a great page! The background colors are super and I like how you've captured yourself in words. Circling just some of the words was a good design descision too. Have a wonderful June weekend.
What a great idea. And as usual, you have executed it beautifully.
I LIKE IT.
Strong and up beat... a really well turned out page.
That is a beautiful page, I love the head covering you look so cool, and I love how you present yourself. HUGS from the other queen.
Great idea! I'm gonna have to use this one in my art journal.
Thanks for sharing.
