Some rock beings came to play…

And I was working on completing some pages in my 12X8.5” watercolor Moleskine journal.

Some seeds got planted.

A Buddha got some line work and some unreadable text.

A mermaid got some color and a wish to be by the water’s edge.IMG_2282     She was inspired by my friend Deb, who know the water helps us mermaids make things right again.

One page left in this sweet document.

Hoping to get to it tomorrow.

When I go to the sea

I remember that I am a part of it all.

Breathing, the ebb and flow, earth, water, sky…

I remember too,

that it is all a part of me.

Huge, Exciting news!!!

Rock My World rocks are being featured in a new book created with Patti Digh.

The book is being released in November but is already available for pre-order on Amazon.

It is the coolest thing to type in my own name on Amazon and have this book with my name on the cover show up ! So excited !

The book would make a great gift for the up-coming holiday season,

especially combined with a little bag of Rock My world rocks !

Day Light Savings Time Weekend…

On Saturday, my honey wasn’t feeling well. Sad smile

I was bummed for him, and myself as well.

It was a really beautiful day, and I wanted to get out.

But I really didn’t feel like going out alone.

So instead, I went in as my honey rested.

With a window open in the studio, good tunes on Pandora radio, and sunshine streaming in,

I took a 20X20” canvas and went in

to wherever my intuitive artist wanted to go…

I got to this point and really liked what was happening.

IMG_4489

Then I added the purple here and felt like I had ruined it somehow !

Especially in that upper left section. Too dark. The spring feeling was gone.

Suddenly, I hated the thing !

Argh…

Time for a good break.

Brushes washed, kitties skritched,

IMG_4492

and a late afternoon nap with my man

and I was able to come back to the painting in the evening and complete it.

IMG_4493

I didn’t take photos of the process as it was pretty dark in the studio, but I gessoed over a lot of the piece, and then went in with the cobalt blue/purple color, lots of detail stuff with white and black acrylic ink,

IMG_4495

and brought the painting to where it felt finished.

IMG_4523

Now I am much happier with it !

“Sprung” – acrylic on canvas, 20X20”

Luckily, David was feeling better on Sunday and we went for a scenic drive along the seacoast. We saw a lot of damage from last week’s storm where the high waves breeched the sea walls.

(crazy waves and kooky couples in North Hampton)

The Rock Fairy beaches still have some rocks but very little sand left.

Then we drove on to Kittery, Maine to hit some of the outlet stores and did a little bit of retail therapy.

It was a sweet afternoon and did both David and I a lot of good.

Oh yeah…

I also stopped at Michaels on the way home and bought another 20X20” gallery wrapped canvas on sale for 50% off…

More intuitive exploration to come !

Hope your week is off to a good start too, Beautiful Ones !

Big Love !

Seaside Love…

A few little glimpses into what a treat my trip to Seaside, FLA was…

DSC06182

My hostess with the mostest, the kind, generous, funny, talented, beautiful and brilliant, Beth !

(Yes, I love her to bits !)

DSC06167

Sunshine at the beach…a delight in spite of the cool temps in the 50’s and below.

DSC06198

Sherry and her hubby Al, who drove down from Toronto, Canada to meet up with us.

It was a sweet, sweet thing to see my fabulous Warrior-Woman, Sweet Heart again.

DSC06196

The three of us made quite the team !

Our specialty ? Girl talk, I would say, and of course…

DSC06142

Shopping !

DSC06152DSC06149

The three of us did well at the annual Seaside Flea Market on the Green.

It was a fun scene and Sherry and Beth got to go a little hog wild as they are both driving home and didn’t have to worry about luggage rates on the plane !

DSC06199

Oh, and did I mention that I love, love love the sea ?

DSC06178

I find it so inspiring,

DSC06227

unbelievably beautiful…

DSC06215

and a place that fills my heart with peace and love.

DSC06209

I feel so very, very blessed to have had the chance to go to Seaside again this year and spend time with my friends in such a very beautiful place.

It made me feel alive and vibrant in many ways.

DSC06226

What more could any of us ask for in the one precious life ?

DSC06225

I hope you found things to make you feel vibrant and alive today, Beautiful Ones !

Big, big love !
