Share the Joy Thursday–A Mermaid Mandala

I made a mandala to day from sea shells and flowers from around my house.

The yellow ones are from a little bouquet of flowers that decorated the guest room for my mom during her recent visit.

The shells were all gathered with my Mom when we visited the beach at Fort Desoto multiple times over our week.

The beach was the very best part of our time together.

Two happy beach bums were we !

The turquoise background and the shells also reminded me of my favorite Mermaid piece in the studio.

Together they make a pretty altar

dedicated to my love of my new seaside life

and to the joy of having my Mom visit my new home.

Little joys and sweet beauty brought together by my own creative hand.

Love that.

So much joy to be celebrated.

Hearts at Work

 

I had a super sweet Mother’s Day weekend with my Mom.

We did our usual shopping trip for clothes for her. She calls me her personal shopper and we always have good luck with finding fun stuff to add to her wardrobe.

We also made our spring pilgrimage to the ocean.

Hampton Beach, NH was glorious on Mother’s Day Sunday !

And we soaked it all in !

It was likely my Mom’s last visit to the yellow house on Orange Street,

so there were definitely some tears when she left to drive home yesterday.

I love you so much, Mommy.

 

Letting go,

and letting myself feel the letting go,

continues to be the theme these days.

All part of the loving,

isn’t it ?

 

I am still holding the space for a dear, dear Heart

that is continuing her Soul’s journey, surrounded by abundant love and light.

A candle lit on my altar and big love pouring from my heart.

Furry kid love…

Bedroom cat, Pumpkin who is the most loving purr kitty around,

as long as it is with me,

and not another furry kid.

And this pig pile of cats and dog at the end of the couch.

The Mish Mash fun I am having with Deb Taylor, who encouraged us to make prayer flags this week.

My stitched Rock Being Balance flag is now winging its way to a dear friend as a special gift filled with love and faith along with some other Rock Fairy goodies.

A last bouquet of flowers from around the house.

Black-eyed Susan, Sedum, and one Rose of Sharon joined the Hosta leaves.

to make a bouquet for a little welcome altar in the guest room.

All ready for a visit from

my Mommy !!!!

Yay !

My Mom is driving down for a long weekend.

It is supposed to be gorgeous for the next few days and you can be sure we will take advantage of it with a trip to the beach…

for a replay of our fun last year,

as well as finding the time for some shopping, and snuggling and loving.

Should be a joy-filled visit !

Home from Montreal and Mont Tremblant.

Had a sweet vacay with David.

Had some sweet times with family. Adore my nieces and nephews !

Attended an appointment with the cardiologist with my Mom. She is doing super well and got the all clear to resume all of her normal activities. Yay !

Yoga in the pool starts today at my friend Patti’s house – pool is heated ! Phew !

Gathering supplies for eb’s Lake House Art Workshop next week – I will be den mother and magic maker’s assistant for the gathering.

Mommy and I...

My Mom is doing well.
She's going slow to go fast, just like she always tells me to do.
It is very precious to me that I can be here with her as she settles in and works on healing.
We are all so very grateful for the love that surrounds us.

Today, we got out into some much needed sunshine and went to one of her favorites spots down by the lake. Good for the Heart and Soul.
