Lost in Rainy Day Red Dreams

e.b. said to gather up red on this rainy day

so we did

"like birdsong inside the egg" - Rumi inspired art journal page

Played with contrast and saturation a little to gather the red a little more ...

the red doors open to the words from the Rumi poem

You know what goes perfectly with red and rain ?

A little Neil...

"if you follow every dream,

you might

get

lost..."

You can listen to some Neil here.

Gather some red and some dreams today...

Gathering red on a rainy day...what a splendid idea...I could use some red here right now...so I'll gaze at your journal page and I'm lovin' the red...and the words. I think it's okay to get lost sometimes...

This is beautiful. The red is electric and among my favorite colors! The doors draw me in and the blues are so dreamy. I love this and needed this right now :)

Oh, Kim, you and eb have RED my mind. I love this gorgeous piece. It sings and dances in the rain. So rich and vibrant.

We have been having gray days here in New England, haven't we? But just think -- on the other side of this awaits the roses of June. Can't wait to see them, and the art they inspire, unfold.

I love the detail shots of your work. Such great colors, you aren't shy with that, huh?! It has been raining here a lot too. With more to come on the weekend. I'm feeling a little like I'm living in Vancouver or Seattle. The Rumi quotes are very inspiring too.
