Haiku My Heart–What Truth ?

A fool emerged

from my pen onto the page.

What truth in his jest ?

****************

Did you know that in the royal courts, the Jester or the King’s Fool was the one who could tell the truth to the King and be free from consequences, as long as he told the truth in the form of a joke or tale ?

I wonder what truth this Fool that appeared on my page has to share with me ?

I hope I get the joke ! Winking smile

************

In these lovely long spring/summery days, I have started sitting out on the front porch in my rocking chair after dinner and enjoying that perfect end of the day light.

Last night, my journal, some pens and a lovely water soluble pencil were my playthings.

I think I have discovered a lovely new place to Be.

May your weekend find you in a similar place, Beautiful Ones !

Happy Friday !

Haiku My Heart, every Friday, hosted by the beautiful Rebecca at recuerda mi corazon.

Kim, you did a great job with the drawing. And I love this because it's making me think. I have to mull it over. And I love that. It's amazing what comes out through our art.

Love your jester! I hope the truth he has for you is as beautiful as your sharing, or just really really funny. :P

I love the picture of you in your rocking chair creating art outside. I love the feel of air on my skin, I revel in this time of year too. Now, the fool is a risk taker and guided. Are you ready for a little tom foolery?!

Ask this guy " are a fool and his money soon parted"?
Delightful drawings and interesting afterwords...

The fool is also a tarot card which means: trusting the process. How lovely is that! Great haiku :) Have a wonderful weekend!

I love your 'fool', he looks very wise. Glad to read about your new drawing spot, too. We've had warm weather and a nice breeze, I can hear the wind chimes and it's SO relaxing. Happy weekend to you, dear Queen!

The jester tips his crooked crown. The King laughs at himself. We share friendship. What does it all mean?
Maybe we are just supposed to share the beauty on paper like you did.

Peace

I love to think of you there, lingering in the dwindling light of an (early) summer's eve, just soaking in goodness.

Ah, the fool is such a powerful archetype and you rendered him well. It will be interesting if you do "get" what you created him to reveal. I'm another spring/summer/fall person who practically lives on the patio.

I knew that, about the fool! I love your painting! Did he tell a joke yet? I spend some time in my garden too, in the last sunrays of the day. Now it's getting dark and they predict the 'coldest Summer day ever' tomorrow... it will be only 11 degrees Celcius (52 Fahrenheit) Can you believe that? Enjoy your rocking chair!
