Good Morning, Lake.

Good morning, Lake. I see your grey beauty. I hear the geese chattering and flapping on your surface. I smell the wood burning from the lake house above. I taste the warm coffee and cream from my favorite cup. I feel the cold on my cheeks and nose but also the warming peace in my Soul. Thank you for this feast, Lake. Thank you for this day.

I look out at a lovely pond every day -- it's my favorite thing about where I live, I think. It changes with the weather. Sometimes a mirror. Sometimes windblown. A week or so ago, when it was raining like crazy, it overflowed its banks and grew about a tenth bigger. It's the eagle's fishing hole, a mating site for mallards, and its marshy, cat-tail north end is host to red-wing blackbirds every spring.

Sounds like a perfect way to start your day. I would love to live near water...a pond, a lake, a river...any kind of water would do!

I gather you are house sitting again. What a beautiful spot. I feel the river calling to me. Maybe a walk in the cold air is calling to me. I am sure you will create wonderful art while you are there.

Hi Kim,

I am so happy I saw your loving artwork on the Daily Truth ...a little bird told me from the Brave Girls Club. (I've had the honor of having my work there too and always love to visit the websites of the wonderful artists featured there.) :)

I've tried to write this post three times and have had difficulty posting it but I am NOT giving up! :)

We are kindred spirits with our love of stones and painting on them. (I loved reading your story of Rock My World and Rock Fairy~*~*~*

I'm delighted to have found your blog dear Kim. I will enjoy coming back often.

(I especially loved your 'love letter' to the Lake.)

with appreciation for all your bring to earth with your loving presence.
