For Today, Monday March 14, 2011

FOR TODAY
Outside my window
...it is grey, warmish and most of the snow has melted down to the icky dirty leftovers. A spring day in New England.

I am thinking…that though I woke up crooked (nightmares, bad dreams, crazy brain thoughts upon wakening), I will do my very best to shake that. My life is so good, and I am going to focus on that.

I am thankful for...the fact that every day is Day One, and that I was given the gift of this day.

From the kitchen...fresh pineapple and strawberries, and oatmeal.

I am wearing...my pale purple Land’s End robe and my old green clogs…

I am creating...collages/paintings on 12 X12 canvases and pages in my art journal.

I am going...to get showered and dressed early today so I can be ready for anything.

I am reading...”The Help” by Kathryn Stockett .

I am hoping…that the world will come together to help those who are suffering so badly right now. There is always Hope, right ?

I am praying for…and sending love to the people of Japan, and for all of us on this planet.

I am hearing...the quiet of Monday morning on my street, birds chirping, motors humming.

Around the house...animals nap, plants need repotting, laundry needs putting away and the art table beckons…

One of my favorite things...clean, soft, white cotton sheets and a down comforter – bed heaven !

A few plans for the rest of the week: Meditation Monday tonight, a haircut, finding a gift for my nephew Thomas for his 8th birthday this weekend, and a trip to La Conception, Quebec this weekend to celebrate ! My first trip to the peeps since Christmas ! Yikes !

Here are some pictures I am sharing

My latest art journal page : Word of Wisdom.

DSC02340

Inspired by the lyrics of the Beatles song of course :

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.
Let it be, let it be, .....
And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be, .....

The words gave me comfort yesterday as I struggle with all that is happening in our world.

My Angel looks kind of tired and sad…appropriate, don’t you think ?

I hope you find some comfort and good things to hold onto today too, Beautiful Ones.

Light and Love !

Good morning Kim! This is such a beautiful post. Your spring day sounds remarkably similar to life here in Cleveland! My hearts joins you in hope for Japan :)

(((hugs)))

I'd say that your angel looks more weary than sad...like she has had the weight of the world (real or within) on her shoulders and it's a heavy burden. Remain light my friend...let the burdens go...if you could I know that you would shoulder the entire world to keep it safe and loved. Remember how many you do bless ♥

Let it be! I too am struggling to appreciate my life and have hope when there is so much grief. If there are angels out there they are surely tired. So much work to be done.
LOVE to you Dear Kim!

Lovely. I keep staring at the eyes of your angel. I see the weariness and the sadness but also compassion and wisdom. I love the little row of houses on the horizon. May I use your list? I really like it.

Kim,

I so with you on most of what you have posted. I really like this piece, I like the houses you added and your angel does look a little sad but there is always hope.
